The role of the Marketing Intern is to assist the Marketing Specialist and marketing department at large with short- and long-term goals to grow brand awareness, visibility, perception, followers, subscribers and engagement. The marketing intern will support tasks as delegated by the Marketing Specialist in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make valuable contributions.
Principal Responsibilities:
● Play an integral role to drive a larger and more diversified audience of followers, subscribers and customers overall
● Educate customers, retailers, and distributors about our products
● Represent the company at product launches and events
● Maintain a positive image of the brand at all times
● Weekly performance analysis/reporting on social media, e-newsletter + website
● Assist with tracking/analysis of all ad placements, costs, target markets, results
● Identify social media influencers in cannabis, lifestyle, finance and business for outreach
● Strategize marketing entryways into lodging (geo targets, Airbnb, B&B)
● Research marketing partnerships (restaurants, biz partners, AT)
● Research Chambers of Commerce, “Buy Local” organizations, and Tourism Boards (NYS, CT, Pioneer Valley)
● Research apps, geo-mapping software opportunities
● Maintain accurate Pass-product branding on pre-order menu
● Track + assist in Pass rack card distribution across Berkshire region
● Organize data from vendors in an Excel spreadsheet
● Contribute to topic generation and copywriting for the company blog
● Evaluate competitors and build content ideas for market positioning (vertical integration, educational tutorials/how-tos, cooking with cannabis)

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:
● Due to regulations, the candidate must be at least 21 years of age
● Candidate must live in the area and have access to transportation
● Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field is preferred
● Experience in Google Analytics, enewsletter + social media scheduling software is preferred
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
● Social media management experience
● A track record of success
● Research and data organization skills
● Ability to work quickly and accurately
● Effective at time management, detail oriented, highly organized and motivated by accomplishment
● This position requires long periods of standing and/or sitting
● Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Compensation and Application:
The Marketing Intern must be 21+ years of age, have their own transport, and live in the region. The intern will report to the Marketing Specialist. The position will be full-time during the 10-week internship period (June 5 – August 11, 2023). Compensation will be $16/hour (totaling $500 per week). If the candidate is available earlier or later than the start/end date of the internship, the job position can be flexible to accommodate.
