Berkshire Interns is one of the Lever Workforce Programs, focused on supporting college students at summer internships with local employers.

How we help

We connect college students and recent grads to paid internships at leading Berkshire Businesses. We help our interns with professional development, networking, and adjusting to life in the Berkshires. Today’s workforce needs new and diverse perspectives. BI also helps create opportunities for students from underrepresented groups through the Berkshire Internship Prep Program.
98 Internships since 2018 when Berkshire Interns began.
27 Local Berkshire companies have participated in the program.

Find your way

Many of our interns find their passion while they’re here—and some end up launching their careers at companies where they were interns. The employers we work with don’t want someone to get coffee, they want young people with unique perspectives who are ready to make an impact at work. All of our internships pay at least Massachusetts minimum wage for full-time work during the 10 week program period.

Internship Support

The BI Program is designed to make sure you’re ready to learn, contribute, and build a professional network. BI staff are here to help with professional development, including a two-day career readiness orientation, and can help connect you with things like housing and transportation for the summer.

We check in with you—and your employer—throughout the process. We use your feedback to adjust the program every year, which means you make an impact for future interns along with the valuable contributions you’re making at work.
