The Opportunity
The Marketing & Community Engagement Intern will be able to enhance their marketing and communication skills and learn within a dynamic marketing team. The internship will be most impactful for self-starters who are eager to contribute meaningful work that impacts the growth and success of the MountainOne marketing team. The Intern must be professional, organized, adaptable, personable, and have strong interpersonal skills.
The Intern will play a pivotal role in MountainOne’s internal and external communications, strategic marketing initiatives, and community engagement efforts in the Berkshires. Responsibilities include representing MountainOne at events, assisting in event planning and volunteer coordination, and contributing to MountainOne’s social media content strategy. They will also support internal intranet content strategy, promo inventory management, participate in team meetings, and assist with business data analytics strategies. There may be other marketing, community engagement, and administrative duties as assigned.
The Intern will be based in our North Adams office, and report to the Vice President of Community Engagement in the Marketing Department.
MountainOne seeks a candidate enrolled in a two—or four-year academic program, preferably majoring in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Communications, or related fields.
Requirements
- Organized and dependable, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and email etiquette.
- Positive attitude to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal staff, community contacts, and vendors.
- Excellent sense of confidentiality, professionalism, and business etiquette, including professional appearance and deportment.
- Good Windows-based software skills—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.; also, corporate social media management and Canva.
- Experience in various social media platforms. Social media management from a corporate perspective.
- Ability to regularly lift, bend, and stand, especially to set up events.
- Ability to work regularly in the North Adams office and travel locally (North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield, and Stockbridge) for events with reliable transportation.
- This is a full-time, temporary, hourly position. The employee can work during a regular business day schedule and has flexibility for events on weekends and outside regular business hours.

- Berkshire Pride [Pittsfield]: June 8, 2024, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
- North Adams SteepleCats Opening Game: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
- 4th of July Events:
- Pittsfield or Williamstown 4th of July Parade: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
- SteepleCats 4th of July game: 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- SteepleCats Insurance and Investments Night: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
- North Adams Farmers Market: TBD Saturday Event
- Williamstown Farmers Market: TBD Saturday Event
- North Adams Downtown Celebration: TBD 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Compensation and Applicant Instructions
