The Opportunity
The HR Intern will have the ability to interact with management in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient; a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. The HR Intern will assist MountainOne in supporting several key HR initiatives. The Intern must be extremely professional, organized, adaptable, and personable. This internship would be especially valuable for anyone interested in positively impacting the culture of our organization. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Onboarding, Training & Organizational Development. The HR intern will also be a key contributor to enhancing the use of technology in HR to increase efficiencies.
The Intern will be based in our North Adams office. Office hours will generally be 8:30-4:00 PM Monday through Friday. There is flexibility in scheduling daily/weekly hours
Requirements
- Excellent sense of confidentiality, professionalism, and business etiquette, including professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficient and Enthusiastic to work with various technologies and platforms. Windows-based software skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, email, etc. HRIS experience/interest is a plus!
- A high level of creativity, analytical skills, and independence to complete projects within the department.
- Willingness to assist with administrative tasks.
- Positive attitude to develop and maintain good working relationships with coworkers and employees across all lines of business.
- Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
- Assist with multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on project deadlines in a timely manner.
- Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Excellent Windows-based software skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media, email, etc.
Background experience, if applicable:
- Human resources: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer relationship management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Digital marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
Compensation and Applicant Instructions
The preferred start date and end dates for this position are flexible. Please note that the Berkshire Interns period in which this internship is participating begins on June 3rd and concludes on August 9th. The hourly rate of pay for this full-time position will be $18.00.
